I saw excellent reviews for this restaurant, so decided to ditch Chattanooga and go to Huntsville. Best decision! Grille 29 had wonderful service from the beginning. My mom and I started off with firecracker shrimp. I didn't even get a picture because we devoured it so fast. Highly recommend it for an appetizer! Next, we ordered scallop & shrimp skewers and stuffed scallops. My mom and I are big seafood fans. We both said we felt like we were eating fresh seafood at the beach. My scallop & shrimp skewers were grilled and seasoned to perfection. The rice and spinach were both good but I put lemon juice on everything for more flavor. My moms stuffed scallops were superb. We both loved them. The sauce & crab were amazing. We also ordered the peanut butter truffle dessert. Again, SUPERB. We devoured that and brought it home. Overall, an amazing dinner. We will be going back.

Ok..so I come to Huntsville as a surprise for my cousin's birthday and when I arrived I was starving..asked her where she wanted to grab a quick bite and she mentioned Grille 29! It is in a newer part of Huntsville and she heard it was a cool place! The decor is pleasing and the staff approachable and friendly! We were seated and I asked for recommendations and our server mentioned the scallops with the bacon jam and I wanted the seafood Mac and cheese and I was off to the races! My cousin has the lamb meatballs and broccoli! Let me tell you something...that was one of the most delicious meals I have had in some time! I didn't pause to take a picture..so you know it was the real deal! Lol Wow...my meal was cooked to perfection and ate my cousins meatballs and yummy! This is a spot worth checking out Huntsville folk..put it on your must visit places! Thank you to our wonderful server who guided us in making great choices!

This spot in a newer part of Huntsville unfamiliar to this former Shuttle-era resident was everything advertised. Each dish was delicious, generously portioned, and served promptly. We had a nice view of the town green that the developers thoughtfully included to give this little neighborhood a touch of New England (not really part of the restaurant except that the overall setting is lovely, especially for the outdoor seating). Expect classic American cafe fare with some interesting chef specials.

An upscale spot on Providence Main Street featuring high end steak and seafood options. The shrimp and grits was one of their hallmark menu items and was rich and hearty. Grits weren't overdone and there was a generous serving of sausage and good sized shrimp. If you don't want steak this is a good choice! Photos include the healthy option rainbow trout and the decadent peanut butter chocolate truffle (get this for dessert).

We were in town for a birthday / New Year's celebration and Grille 29 was recommend by one of my friends that lives in Huntsville. Good recommendation - wonderful experience. Nice atmosphere - really nice for "date night". Conversation was easy, as Grille 29 was not very loud at all, even being fairly full with holiday diners. Service was top notch, our server Micheal knew the menu very well and was good with recommendations. Wine list is extensive. Started with a Caesar, nothing special. Bacon Jam Scallops for the appetizer - totally awesome. I could have made a meal of that!! For the entrees, she had the Surf & Turf, I had the NY Strip - both dishes were prepared nicely. Perhaps a bit "unseasoned", but that seems to be a new trend in dining now - salt & pepper your own!! Too much food for desert, so I can't comment on that, but the offerings sounded terrific. We will return on our next Huntsville venture!!

This place still rates 5 stars. Ate here twice this week. Filet on Tuesday and fortunately filet and lobster on Thursday. Great Sourdough bread. Their vegetables sides are fantastic. See photo with Succotash and green beans perfectly cooked. Sweet potato hash along with lobster and filet.

We were in town for the day and looked up near by steak restaurants. I chose Grille 29 because I wanted something we didn't have in Nashville but really it was cause of the Yelp photos lol What caught my eye was the stuffed scallops and that's exactly what I got. Let me just say... it was the best I've ever had. My boyfriend ordered the snapper (special of the day) and wasn't a fan. He was just going to get another order of scallops, but they went ahead and took the snapper off our tab. Also, our server was wonderful and not because she took a meal off our tab, but because she was so attentive, informative and so friendly you could tell she actually enjoyed working. Amazing food and staff. Will definitely be back...

Really nice atmosphere and outstanding service. Always took my old drink glass when getting me a fresh Coke, which is a really nice touch that I do appreciate. We made the mistake of ordering an appetizer. We had the Gorgonzola fondue, which was tasty but not spectacular (6/10). It was also HUGE, which meant we had no room for dessert, which I really wanted to try. :( The bread basket was warm and crusty sourdough (8/10) and our filets and mashed potatoes were both cooked properly and were very flavorful. However, if we're being totally honest, I did not find the food to be much better than Outback. Not an insult; I personally have had great experiences with Outback. But for the price, the only real upgrade is the service and the atmosphere -- in my relatively uncultured opinion. ;)
